Our case for the M series will fit all M body Leicas, including the current TTL model.  With exception is any M camera using a 35mm lens with attached viewfinder or the MR/MC meter.  The M5 model has it's own case.  Also, our cases will not accommodate a Leicavit.

The nose of the case is styled in a soft triangular shape reminiscent of Leica cases of the 50's & 60's. It is unlike the bulbous shaped nose on the M6 case currently offered Leitz. We offer four sizes of noses. The small snout is for any collapsible 50mm lens and/or 35mm 2.0 Summicron without a lens shade. The medium snout will handle a 50mm 1.4 Summilux with a collapsible lens shade and 35 mm ASPH. The large snout can handle a 50mm 1.4 Summilux with a reversible lens shade. This size will handle all lens from a 50mm on down.  The B'zka (Bazooka) is our largest size snout.  It can accommodate the 90mm Elmarit, the Tri-elmar or the 50mm Noctolux.  This top piece of the case is secured to the bottom using a snap fastener rather than the "lock & key" fastener as on our other cases.  In this situation, the lens must be placed into the snout first and then the case is snapped up from behind.  This differs from the "lock & key" style which hinges the top piece first, then swings underneath the camera to insert the lens.  By using a snap and inserting the lens first, this allows us to accommodate larger lens and avoids the clearance problem we have when swinging the case from underneath.

Note: the two fastener systems are incapable with each other.  If you intend to order more than one snout with the B'zka, the other snout must also use the snap fastener as well.   If you have an existing case, it is not possible to add the B'zka snout to your current case.

For a complete description of specifics or this case please refer to the "ABOUT OUR CASES" portion of the introduction to our WEB site.

We also make a half case for the M6. It is nearly identical to the items described above. The difference is that is doesn’t have the snap hardware for the top piece to connect to. This item comes with a strap, strap hinges and the knurled knob.
